One of the best pick up lines ever.
Today we remember all who served at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Your courage will never be forgotten.
There is no easy walk to freedom anywhere, and many of us will have to pass through the valley of the shadow of death again and again before we reach the mountaintop of our desires
~ Rest In Peace Nelson Mandela (18 July 1918 – 5 December 2013)
I shouldn’t be allowed to talk to people. I’ve nothing intelligent to say and I ramble unnecessarily about whatever pops into my idiotic, chaotic brain.
"Every book, every volume you see here, has a soul. The soul of the person who wrote it and of those who read it and lived and dreamed with it. Every time a book changes hands, every time someone runs his eyes down its pages, its spirit grows and strengthens."
I agreed to come back with my grandma and stay with her for the weekend in the woods. She and her husband lived out here, but since he passed away she’s out here by herself with her birds.
I brought Pongo with me, and he’s already resumed his love/hate relationship with the birds. Where they squawk and he throws himself at the cage trying to get in. I swear they’re laughing at him.
The woods are dark and frightening and everywhere, and I worry about what’s lurking in them while I sleep tonight. Yes, I’m paranoid, but turn on the news and you’ll see what kind of world we’re living in. But the house is locked up tight and I’m a light sleeper, so at least I will be able to save us somehow should a situation of such a nature occurs.
I will fashion a weapon and be at the ready. Beware crazies, bears, and any other rogue creatures of the night! I will defend this house!
Meanwhile my grandmother is in her room laughing over a heartwarming Hallmark movie. Do not worry, grandma! I will protect you!
